Lewis School Site Council (SSC)

The SCC is made up of the principal, staff, and parents with the focus to

understand, research and relay these matters to staff, parents, and the PTA that include but are not limited to:

*the matters that relate to the educational needs and goals of our school,

*opinions and attitudes of parents, teachers and students on significant issues,

*methods to improve communications between the school and families,

*the development of an evaluation tool for reporting the school's progress to the community

The SSC is NOT:

*a policy-making body

*a political organization

*a personnel committee

*a grievance committee

*a fund-raising committee

*an extension of the PTA

*a social group

Each member of the SSC remains in the council for a 2-year commitment.
